The Rush Historical Society, in conjunction with the Rush Town Historian's Office, will hold its History Room Open House on March 24, 2024, from 2-4 pm.
Rush Town Historian Sue Mee and officers of the Rush Historical Society
will be there to meet you, and you’ll see fascinating historical artifacts not
previously on public display.
These are just a few of the historical items to be viewed.
The Rush Historical Society has submitted a grant, matched by the Town of
Rush, to the New York State Arts Council. We’re working to update the
1911 Corner house to create a display space that will change thematically,
and also provide a community meeting space. This 2,000 sq. ft house, built
in the 1920’s, has been inspected by professional architects and renovation
plans were submitted to and approved by the town Board. We hope to hear
positive news in April 2024.
This open house is just one of many reasons for all generations to be
engaged in the history of the town of Rush – YOUR history.
