Carol of the Bells
Performed by Dedicated Voices of Roth Junior High School
Led by Jamie Kazacos
Jingle Bells
Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bobtails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song tonight
[Chorus]
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon, Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
He got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot
[Chorus]
Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
[Chorus]
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock
[Chorus]
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell, That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell rock
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
Man it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought me some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow! Let it snow!
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you'll really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
And the fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbying
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow! Let it snow and snow!
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really grab me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
Oh, the fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbying
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Candlelight
A song for Hanukkah performed by Dedicated Voices of Roth Jr. High School
Led by Jamie Kazacos
Deck the Halls
Deck the halls with boughs of holly Fa la la la la, la la la la
'Tis the season to be jolly Fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we now our gay apparel Fa la la la la, la la la la
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol Fa la la la la, la la la la
See the blazing yule before us Fa la la la la, la la la la
Strike the harp and join the chorus Fa la la la la, la la la la
Follow me in merry measure Fa la la la la, la la la la
While I tell of Yuletide treasure
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses Fa la la la la, la la la la
Sing we joyous all together Fa la la la la, la la la la
Heedless of the wind and weather Fa la la la la, la la la la
Angels We Have Heard on High
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be,
Which inspire your heavenly song?
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him Whose birth the angels sing,
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
See Him in a manger laid
Jesus Lord of heaven and earth!
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
With us sing our Savior's birth.
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Good King Wenceslas

Thank you for attending our Tree Lighting Ceremony
Our annual Tree Lighting began in December 2017 to launch our Town’s 2018 Bicentennial. This has become an annual event other than the year 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic made it unsafe to gather.
A special thank you to Bruce and Ann O’Neil for donating and planting the tree in celebration of our Town’s 200th birthday. The tree is thriving and continuing to grow taller each year.
Thank you to the Dedicated Voices from Roth Junior High School for leading us in singing Christmas carols and helping us to welcome the holiday season each year.
This event is collaboratively sponsored by the Rush Historical Society and the Rush Historian’s Office.
